Many Bothans Died: a one act space comedy

“Many Bothans died to bring us this information…” A solemn sentence that left us wondering in the midst of a Rebel briefing is finally demystified with MANY BOTHANS DIED: a one-act space comedy!

This staged reading with props follows the story of five Bothan bounty hunters tasked with finding the Death Star 2 plans. Lovable but not exactly “good,” the Bothans face obstacles and enemies, allies and traitors, Sarlacc pits, Stormtroopers, and evil agents of the Empire during their quest to get paid to…err, to do the right thing.

There’s love, death, fighting, monologues, bribery, hijinks, tin-foil weaponry, not-so-subtle jabs at the Lucasfilm parent-company, and plenty of satire. A play for the Nerds, by the Nerds, MANY BOTHANS DIED will, if nothing else, satisfy your curiosity and make you shout, “Han shot first!” May the Farce be with you. Always.
