The Holidays Ten Minute Play Festival

Doors at 6:30 PM; show at 7:00 PM.

Since 2011, the Portland 10MPF is an event Monkey With a Hat On produces 2-3 times a year. The Festival features new plays written, directed and performed by Portland artists – with a live musical act in between each play. Every play is ten minutes or less and every festival features a new theme. 

The theme for our 35th 10MPF is… Holidays!

Every night will feature all six of the Holidays-themed plays produced in this festival – so enjoy all of the acts and music on any of the four performance nights. The 10MPF is a very fun, well-attended event, and there is nothing else like it in the city! In the Holidays Ten Minute Play Festival you will experience: 

• The Easter Bunny and a Leprechaun fighting for their lives
• A New Years Eve party in a bunker at the end of the world
• Internet lovers meeting for the first time on Valentine’s Day
• A bright-eyed employee’s first day at the “Holiday Factory”
• Freddy Krueger and Pinhead’s first Christmas with their son
• Father’s Day with “Rent-A-Dad”

This play festival will feature music from the awesome local musical act, Junglecorp, with their new Nature-themed musical story performed in between each of the plays! Junglecorp leaves the audience thoroughly entertained and they are excited to be a part of the 34th 10MPF. Runtime: ~2 hours (with a 15 minute intermission) 

All Ages; however there will be some F-bombs and adult themes. 

The Ten Minute Play Festival is theater for everybody. MWAHO will never turn away audience members for lack of funds, and they have an open door policy where anyone can attend their writers workshops, submit a play or try out to be involved. These are your stories, Portland!
