The Films of Maya Deren

A seminal figure in experimental cinema during the 1940s and 50s, director, dancer, writer, and poet, Maya Deren created some of the most beautifully haunting films to grace the silver screen. Deren depicted the unseen and the dream realm with a poets eye and a dancers sense of time and space. We’ll be presenting five of her works in this program:
