Portland Panorama: Sirens Call

Una, a mermaid reborn in a human body on Earth during a planetary crisis, searches for connection and fellow merpeople to share Atlantis’ wisdom. However, her health deteriorates in the toxic environment, and she longs to transcend her human form.

In their feature-length debut, Gossing/Sieckmann dive into the merfolk subculture with performance artist and siren Una. Genre elements, fiction and documentary, self-care, political activism and self-chosen identities blend into one another.
