A Drama of Magical Realism. Charlie Atterbury, a former professional Mentalist, is interviewed by a documentary filmmaker about how he came upon his mind-reading talents after a fatal fall in the forest and mysteriously returns to life with amnesia and starts hearing voices.

While wandering the woods, he encounters a religious fanatic and realizes these voices are actually other people’s thoughts. On the road the next day Charlie meets a talent scout who recognizes his mind-reading talent and drives him to Reno Nevada with the promise of becoming rich and famous. OUT OF THE WOODS follows one man’s journey down the rabbit hole of haunted dreams, weird luck, and worldly ambitions to discover his true nature and… his one true love.
