GOING OUT OF MY HEAD: Psychedelic Films of the Japanese Underground (Church of Film)

As Zenkyōtō student protesters donned helmets and clashed with police, and their counterparts in America stormed the institutions of empire, Japanese multimedia artists sought to capture the world in upheaval. And in a haze of psychedelic parties, drug experimentation, and heady theory, they also ventured far into the realms of altered consciousness, creating visual light shows, underground masterworks, and counter cultural multimedia experiments!
