An idyllic Icelandic valley has been abandoned and left in ruins due to the threat of gruesome trolls that live in the mountains. All except one farm, however, which remains thanks to the possession of a magical ring that wards off trolls. The trolls plan to steal the ring, but the family receives the assistance of the fairy spirits of the land. THE LAST FARM IN THE VALLEY is a stunning, enchanting Icelandic film shot remarkably in color in 1950. Exceedingly popular, it played so often in Iceland that the original tape soundtrack was unusable. However, the original elements of this fairy masterpiece have since been restored!
