This surreal, atmospheric horror film takes viewers into the world of a French castle and its strange inhabitants, starring Boris Karloff and Jack Nicholson (the latter portraying a French officer who is seduced by a woman who also happens to be a shapeshifting devil). With it’s legendarily chaotic production, The Terror is a perfect example of Corman’s resourcefulness and creativity, Frankenstiening several sets to complete the film.
