In a dark, ruinous manor on the borderlands of Belarus, a young ethnographer arrives to study the legends of the Marsh Firs. There he finds the sordid mystery of a generational curse: spectral figures, a Little Man and a Woman in Blue, stalk the grounds, while a ghost ride, a hunt led by the long dead King Stakh, terrorizes the gloomy country and claims many victims.
