Get ready to experience the wackiest cult film you’ve probably never heard of—The Legend of the Stardust Brothers is the 1980’s Japanese answer to Phantom of the Paradise and The Rocky Horror Picture Show!
Macoto Tezka (son of manga legend Osamu Tezuka) and his friends transformed the soundtrack to a movie that didn’t exist into a real-life motion picture with a story about a shady music mogul who brings together a punk and new-waver to form the Stardust Brothers—a silver-jumpsuited, synth-pop sensation. A wild cult hit in Japan, this newly-restored, unsung gem returns to the big screen for the first time in decades. And what better place that the home of Rocky Horror—The Clinton Street Theater!
Screened in Japanese with English subtitles.
