Cascadia Drag Festival

Marla Darling presents The Cascadia Drag Festival! A love letter to the drag community of the Pacific Northwest. This project has been an idea for the last ten years, produced and curated by Marla Darling (Bjork Friday, The Rocky Horror Lavender Show, Drag Dangerzone). The festival features all kinds of artists from all over the PNW, located in the historic Clinton neighborhood.

A limited number of discount full festival passes are available while supplies last, along with tickets to individual days that weekend.

Cascadia Drag Festival Schedule

Friday, May 24th

Doors open at 5:00 PM.

Show run 6:00 – 11:00 PM.

The Drag Dangerzone Stage: New and established drag performers create a space for experimentation, playfulness, and workshop new material in a theater setting.

Followed by LASH BASH, hosted by Wolfgang X: A Fashion party that draws its inspiration from past Portland parties such as Pepper Pepper’s Critical Mascara, Panty Raid at the Belmont Bodega, Blow Pony, and Mrs.. It is not a pageant nor vogue ball, nor a competition—it’s a runway show!

Categories include: Cascadia—how do you interpret the PNW? Are you a Lumber- twink? Willamette River fae? Mushroom king? Floral Explosion—flowers, flowers, flowers. Be the May Queen of your heart and follow your Midsommar fantasy. Cosplay Couture—fictional characters don’t vote or pay taxes. You are the main character in this story. Glamour Gore—an original category from Critical Mascara. Give us the horror fantasy with rhinestones. Anything But Clothes—duct tape corsets, an IKEA bag ball gown. Make trash couture!

Saturday, May 25th

Show runs 1:00 – 9:00 PM

The Day of Drag! A marathon of drag with rotating hosts and multiple casts of drag entertainers. Come experience the surprises we have planned!

Sunday, May 26th

Doors open at 12:00 PM

Show runs 1:00 – 4:00 PM

The Matinee! An early afternoon drag show to close out the festival. Stick around for Melange later that evening to experience one of Portland’s greatest variety shows! (Please note: Melange tickets are sold separately, but will be available at the door.)
