The Tragedy of Man

More than 20 years in the making, the sprawling, kaleidoscopic masterwork from iconic Hungarian animator Marcell Jankovics (Son of the White Mare) is a seemingly-endless animated scroll of gorgon-like demons, barbarian warriors, bejeweled pharaohs, knights and martyrs and prophets all bleeding together into one brutal age passing like pages in a flipbook. 

Broken into many chapters, which were produced one at a time as Jankovics could cobble together funding, each section has a different visual style, it is a mind-blowing tapestry of world art, cultures, symbols and rituals that demands to be seen on the big screen.
