80 minutes

With GRASS, Ron Mann turns his fascination with unexamined history and sly sense of humor to the history of marijuana prohibition in the United States. Marijuana, which is considered by many to be the most benign of all recreational drugs, is in fact the most controversial. Using archival footage, narration by actor Woody Harrelson, art by Paul Mavrides and a soundtrack that is at once tongue in cheek and provocative, Mann examines how marijuana became the scapegoat of government drug policy that seems to be on its own magic carpet ride.
