Things are really f*cked up right now. And here on Clinton Corner, we're doing our bit to make things better.

Every Monday night, come to the Clinton Street Theater, enjoy a film on the big screen (the way it should be seen!), make friends, have a few laughs, scream, cry and raise money for a good cause.

It's like a stoned, slapstick 1984: a nightmare comedy in which the comedy is just an aspect of the nightmarishness.

Pauline Kael, New Yorker

sail2change-logoTonight's nonprofit partner is  Sail 2 Change, a nonprofit organization inspired to support our nation's underserved youth by providing tools for personal growth, while simultaneously creating an understanding of responsible recreation, sustainability, and the ecological complexities of the natural world.

They believe that every person has the potential to succeed given the appropriate environment and opportunity.

The program is geared towards marginalized youth in 10th to 12th grade who are less likely to transition into adulthood and achieve economic self-sufficiency.

They offer support to students with emotional and behavioral complications, truancy, low-academic performance, and students experiencing a disconnection from the traditional school environment.  Sail 2 Change strives to keep students from becoming involved in drugs and alcohol, as well as gang-related offenses by offering individualized guidance. Sail2change is dedicated to providing a compassionate outlet for positive decision-making, ensuring future success to those involved.
