Gentle-spirited and kind Nastenka has an evil stepmother, a nasty stepsister, and a neglectful father. She falls in love with handsome Ivan, but he's turned into a bear by a mushroom wizard in the forest, and she's sent to freeze to death in the wilderness. Also there's a witch, who's not nice, and the spirit of Winter, Jack Frost, who really is!
