“As a rock duo, I thought we were every bit as good as Mick [Jagger] and Keith [Richards], or Axl [Rose] and Slash. Ziggy [Stardust] and Mick [Ronson] were the personification of that rock and roll dualism,” said David Bowie in the trailer for Beside Bowie: The Mick Ronson Story, a documentary that appears finally close to being seen.

Directed by Jon Brewer, Beside Bowie: The Mick Ronson Story tells the tale of one of rock and roll’s most influential and most-loved guitarists. In addition to Bowie, over the course of his career, Ronson worked with such heavyweights as Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, John Mellencamp and Morrissey among others. The story, narrated by Bowie, includes a laundry list of interviews from the likes of Ian Hunter, Reed, Def Leppard‘s Joe Elliott, ex-Sex Pistol Glen Matlock and Roger Taylor of Queen, to name but a few.
