SUMMARY:THE MILLENNIAL BEE (1983) (Church of Film)
DESCRIPTION:Through fire\, snow\, and hail\, this swirling\, discursive Magic Realist epic follows three generations and thirty years in a Slovakian village\, and the spirit of the irrepressible beehive that represents them. \n\n\n\nTHE MILLENNIAL BEE is a towering patchwork portrait of sex\, labor and death at the turn of the Twentieth Century\, leading to the slaughter of the first World War and the birth of Socialist resistance. Told with absurd and psychedelic detours\, and director Juraj Jakubisko’s signature soaring camerawork\, it’s often considered the Czechoslovakian New Wave legend’s greatest achievement!

DESCRIPTION:RUSSIAN FAIRY TALE ANIMATION! A collection of wondrous short fairy tale films from the Soviet Union’s best animation studio\, Soyuzmultfilm! \n\n\n\nGiven free reign stylistically\, and with no profit motive\, Soviet animators created one of the most productive and groundbreaking animation studios in the world to rival Walt Disney! SUMMARY:Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me with Special Guests Sheryl Lee and Ray Wise
DESCRIPTION:Featuring a special post-screening Q&A with stars Sheryl Lee and Ray Wise! \n\n\n\nDoors open at 4:00 PM. \n\n\n\nIn the town of Twin Peaks\, everyone has their secrets—but especially Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee). In this prequel to his groundbreaking 1990s television series\, David Lynch resurrects the teenager found wrapped in plastic at the beginning of the show\, following her through the last week of her life and teasing out the enigmas that surround her murder. \n\n\n\nHomecoming queen by day and drug-addicted thrill seeker by night\, Laura leads a double life that pulls her deeper and deeper into horror as she pieces together the identity of the assailant who has been terrorizing her for years. Nightmarish in its vision of an innocent torn apart by unfathomable forces\, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me is nevertheless one of Lynch’s most humane films\, aching with compassion for its tortured heroine—a character as enthralling in life as she was in death. \n\n\n\nSheryl Lee and Ray Wise will be offering separate autographs and photographs ($60 each or $80 for both) at this event only for ticket holders. They will be selling those directly at the screenings and they will not be available for purchase in advance online. \n\n\n\nPlease note: Autographs and photographs will be conducted separately. The Twin Peaks VIP pass is the only opportunity to have both actors in the same photo during their visit to The Clinton Street Theater. \n\n\n\nAll ticket sales are final. We cannot provide any refunds or exchanges. Bag check required at the door. \n\n\n\n \n Director: David Lynch\n Year: 1992\n Country: France\, USA\n Runtime: 134 minutes
