SUMMARY:We Are Everywhere
DESCRIPTION:This documentary goes into the lives of five different sex workers who lived and worked during the beginning of the 2020 covid-19 pandemic in Portland\, Oregon. It highlights their lives and how difficult it is to work in our high risk field during a global pandemic.  \n\n\n\nThis film provides a rare opportunity for sex workers to discuss their own stories with dignity\, compassion\, and care. Society often perpetuates harmful and violent narratives and punitive laws towards sex workers. These beliefs and targeted legislation emboldens the violence that is already directed at us. We are murdered at such high rates that being marginalized beyond our work as sex providers is often a death sentence.  \n\n\n\nThis movie doesn’t just focus on positive sanitized profiles of privileged white sex workers but an opportunity for marginalized black\, brown\, indigenous\, people of color\, and trans people to tell their own stories.
