DESCRIPTION:Portland-born animator Bill Plympton makes a special appearance at The Clinton Street Theater for a screening of his most recent feature film\, Slide (2023)\, along with his latest short film\, Duckville (2024). \n\n\n\nSlide follows a guitar-playing cowboy in a corrupt 1940’s logging town\, who battles a pair of evil twins to save the village of Sourdough Creek. Duckville is a dark fairy tale\, staring Academy Award-nominated voice actor Jim Dale\, about a duck village that fakes a wild monster attack to increase fame and sympathy in order to gain tourists. \n\n\n\nScreening followed by a Q&A with Plympton.
