DESCRIPTION:This collection explores the history of Armenian animation at its beginnings: the Soviet Republic’s Armenfilm studio! In particular\, the spotlight will be on one of the world’s greatest and most beloved animators\, Robert Sahakyants. Included will be some of his animation masterpieces that had the animation world spellbound\, and his cynical\, surreal\, and darkly hilarious tales such as LESSONS\, THE BUTTON\, and WIND. We will also be examining some works of Sahakyants’ forerunners and contemporaries in Armenia!
