The American Dream.  \n\n\n\nFirst performed in 2011\, My Americana is a performance piece with a single stage performer accompanied with a live musician and overhead projections. The show is produced every other year\, presenting all new stories and songs\, while featuring a different musician. \n\n\n\nThis year’s My Americana will feature the talented Shane O’Shields as the musician. Described by some as a mystical\, fuzzy\, friendly giant\, Shane will bring his own flavor of Americana Classical Psychedelia and Blues to this year’s My Americana\, by playing the cello\, guitar\, ukulele\, drums\, tambourine and a kazoo. \n\n\n\nFrom Ollie\, the Writer\, Director and Stage Performer: \n\n\n\n“I put everything into My Americana. It’s a chance for me to provide snapshots of an individual\, which I believe helps inform the story of a culture. The show is called My Americana\, but I’ve always seen it as Our Americana – it’s really about all of us. We strive to make the show less of a performer’s cathartic experience and more about an entertaining\, thought-provoking and fun time for the audience.
